So? the point remains that both genders face discrimination in some way(and its debatale which is more important, econmicaly, sure jobs are more important, but culturally and socially, I think things like child custody take precedence). This proves that the our society is not a patriarchy, for if it was all the sexism would be leveled entirely against women.

    Parhaps there is some confusion.
I am saying that the US is a patriarchy to an extent, not all the way.
If I said that or I lead you to believe that, I apologize.
Under the definition that a patriarchy must be absolute, a patriarchy has never existed. There has always been discrimination against men, if only coming from the female side of a society.

Culture and society can change over time.
The reduction [but not elimination] of a patriarchal mentality in the States is an example of this.
However, economics remains more of an afflicting point than an afflicted.

It is true that one could argue that social/cultural is more important than economic and I would for some societies, but not so much for the US, which is driven by individualism and Capitalism.
So we just arrive at an impasse of opinion of what is more important.
I admit that the cut of economic over social/cultural is not that clear and it is vanishing in favor of the latter quickly [to me at least], but it is still there.

Well, in the cases of sexual abuse at work, females always win. The fun fact is, the number of "male victims" is higher.

That claim is hard to prove, but I would be unsurprised.
A women cries "Sexist!" and the entire company shudders.
A man says it, and he is ignored and told to toughen up.

It depends if she is hot or not. Same with rape, i doubt any man would resist a supermodel trying to rape him, well unless she has Aids well they still would only put up a half hearted fight.

During the struggle, put on that condom and show her who's boss!

No, but really, I quite frequently read stories about female teachers forcing their students to have sex with them. On a site with "strange" news, so no headlines. If a male teacher has sex with an underage female student, he'll be labelled a paedophile and can't ever get a place to live because the neighbourhood will set his house on fire or something.

Also, what about alimony? I've rarely ever heard of cases where the female has to pay the male after a divorce.

While I'm all for equal chances for everyone, some people are taking it too far, and instead of striving for equality, they seem to want better treatment because they have tits.

In sex education class (yes, we had that) we learnt that is also machoism when, for example, you see a lady in dispair trying to change a tire to her car, and you ran to help her (because, you know, she is a woman and can't drive).

I believe that Women and Men should rule side by side. Us men use logic and strategy more often then women but
we tend to lose sight of what is moral and what is not. I believe that women bring this into our thoughts and many time have us reconsider our ideas.

Ok, misunderstood what you were arguing for, but if patriarchy has never existed, doesn't that mean feminism is void, since one of the core beliefs in feminism is that a patriarchy exists and it continues to oppress and control women?
And while captitalism is defintaly ingrained in american culture, It's pretty safe to say that most people would consider custody of their children more important then making a profit.

I think you misinterpreted my post.
I said that it DOES exist, just not to as massive a degree as it once did.
And for the most part, I find the idea of feminism rather... disconcerting.
The whole idea of supporting feminism over humanism is the idea of some cosmic balencing scale that would account the betterment of the status of women against what happened to them in the past.
I really don't see that happening.
Should they end the gender gap? Yes, for the most part.
I find problem in the idea that women ought to be given some special treatment as payback.
I am not entirely objectent to it, but I take it by a case-by-case scenerio, whereas some people think just to slam the scales the other way around entirely.
