This spider spins a big fucking flail out of silk and whacks insects with it. Attenborough makes it very elegant, however.

Add a few more red bits to that ball of silk, and you've got an Umbrella Corporation logo.
From that, we can infer that Attenborough's secret spider army is responsible for the zombie ants.

Very interesting. This is a key element in the upcoming action-adventure survival game, The Last of Us, developed by Naughty Dog (who also did Uncharted). Basically, a fungal infection like this has attacked almost all humans. This very video was even used in the promotion and teasing of the game before it was revealed. Heaps of very talented and innovative people are involved, and it looks amazing so far.

PS3 exclusive, thank fuck for that. Hopefully this doesn't turn out like the run of the mill generic zombie game.

It's actually really quite possible, although it's probably not going to happen for a long time. Probably. Many species of fungi can cause serious problems to humans, but few attack the human specifically and spread via the human. Of those, they are fairly mild and really only live on the skin, never in the organs or bloodstream. They also aren't anywhere near as aggressive, potent and virulent, which it needs to be if it's going to influence the mind as advanced as a human's. Figuratively speaking it's a very high wall to climb, but fungi have climbed many walls before.

They've already said that it won't focus on the "zombies", but rather on the emotions and relationship between the two characters and their struggles in the context of an apocalyptic event. That will make all the difference.

I ment the odds of a GAME being made about it at this very time.

I don't understand your question. A group of people wanted to make a game focusing on human emotions and relationships in a post-apocalyptic environment. They researched for a plausible explanation and found this.

... A random post about fungal spores controlling the minds of insects appears on the forum and all of a sudden we find out a game is being made about it?

I agree with Lamp. There's something suspicious going on here. Probably some form of Conspiracy. Better get Soviet on the job.

Also, I have always hated bugs. Great, now there are fucking zombie bugs.

You just created the best possible line for a slightly racist 1970's zombie movie.
So theres a zombie epidemic in Mississippi. In this scene there are two men on a field. One of them is a KKK member and the other is a typical Redneck. A wave of zombies is charging towards them and in the front is an African American zombie.

KKK guy- I always hated niggers, now there are fucking zombie niggers!
Red neck- fucking fast as hell too bobby boy.

I seriously ment next to nothing by the comment and was just remarking what an epic coincidence it was, and then iron chin did not catch it :(
