General Science Section?

I think we should have a section for science since we have one for philosophy, history, and politics.

Science isn't ever discussed. New forums should only be created, if the topic is popular.

We had a freaking section for books for crying out loud. That was not popular when it was created.

Well then should it have been created?

It's starting to get popular now, so yes. My point is, if we have a section for science, more people will start posting science stuff.

I say no. Off topic can cover it until there's a high demand.

That's what we thought of the off-topic in the beginning. Instead, it's grown into multiple sub forums. I still think if we have a philosophy section we should certainly have a science one.

Science alone isn't really enough to justify it's own section. What about about a 'Science and Psychology' section? Both of the topics appear to be semi-regulars in the coffee house, and if we combine them, we should get an active-enough section.

Anyone who thinks psychology can sneak its way into science deserves to be torn apart by blunt-toothed foxes while drowning in a steaming vat of poo, while EmperorNapoleon talks at them, holding up a print-out of a particularly bad example of his shocking typing skills.

Not really. Science conflicts with ethics from time to time, and that's where more philosophical reasoning comes in. The two are both significant in debates (even though I personally still find things like science and engineering more important than philosophy and psychology), and combining the sections actually sounds like a very good idea.
