No we realize it. Answer me this, how do you know better than the US military as far as how you should "effectively" conduct this war on drugs? I'm pretty sure they know far more about this than you do and they're failing.

We understand, but your NEW war seems much worse than the old one, atleast imo. Also political idealogy does come into this as it has to do with various governmental control issues. Also, it is in the political section :p

If it were to be legalized the beneficiary would not anyone really, and in terms of making money for the government what do you mean? The government cannot sell marijuana or else it would seem like its own corporation.

Not beneficial? As stated, the government would indeed make money (they already tax the hell out of tobacco and alcohol), and the citizens would have access to safe and good quality marijuana. As I said before, no one I know that has used or still regularly uses marijuana has ever used anything stronger (to my knowledge), nor are they vicious criminals. And has anyone actually read the link I posted? In the 10 years that drugs of all kinds have been legal in Portugal, drug abuse has been halved.

Your proposing prosecuting people heavily just because you don't agree with something. Your a nazi, a criminal, and a general horrible person.

The only reason drugs bring violence and organized crime into play is because they are illegal. If they were not there would be government regulated sales and no crime organization could possibly fund itself. All other lines of income are irrelevant in the first world for gangs.

So all that's left is your personal belief that people shouldn't do drugs, and for that your willing to cook up extraordinary amounts of violence and ruin the lives of MILLIONS just so that you MAY be able to solve the problem even the the odds are infinitely against you.

Also we have more American's thinking they are in fact god and can do whatever they want with billions of lives over seas. It doesn't matter if you think your helping them your attitude is what lead to a plane being driven into a couple towers you may have heard of about 11 years ago. In reality nobody in Africa gives a fuck what you think about how they should live their life. They can handle themselves and if stupid white people stopped barging in and fucking things up over resources they might develop into real nations themselves.

    Your showing your age. Moron.

While I agree with your overall point, this line made me chuckle.

Ahem... Aside from your ideas being practically impossible to implement, they are also morally horrible and despicable.
Your war on drugs would most likely be one of the most authoritarian crackdowns in history. While it may be unhealthy to smoke, it's the choice of the individual(as long as they don't harm others*) and not the job of the government although they can discourage it by putting extra taxes/tariffs on the substances. The hard drugs would be considered harmful to others as the addiction(which has a much bigger impact on the individual) is likely to make them resort to crime or other underhanded ways to support their drug use. Those drugs are also extremely unhealthy to the individual, while "soft drugs" have relatively few negative health effects.
The new colonialism is just outright stupid. The first problem you would run into is that countries rarely give up sovereignty volountarily and that you would need to fight them in order to gain power. Trying to help people by killing them(and that applies to your other idea as well) would generally be considered a logical fallacy.(at least that's how I would define it)

*The same way that alcohol works now in most countries.

Edit: I didn't actually mean to rant about your ideas, but when I read them I had to respond.

Your view of human nature is a little idealistic. This can't and won't work in practice.

They can make money through taxes on it and they can sell it through what we call here crown corporations or corporations owned by the government the CBC or LCBO is a prime example. If marijuana was legalized here it would probably be the LCBO that sells it. Back under Trudeau a crown corporation had a control over oil in this country to.

Someone said he was on page 7.
The US military is not fighting the war on drugs. Or at least doesn't take a large roll. It is mainly the NSA, CIA, and Border Patrol that do it. As well as the FBI (of course) and numerous other bureaucratic anti-drug government organizations that eat up funds and have nothing to show for it. We must do away with the Bureaucracy and compartmentalization in the War on Drugs. These agencies need to be more organic.
Well considering many people have resorted to robbery and murder to support their weed addiction...then...well...im sorry but your wrong.
Im actually a socialist and calling someone a Nazi is extremly immature. So therefore, I must respectfully say, fuck you.
Well, you know, drugs is a crime. How does me being against it make me a criminal? I think you need to pull your head out of your ass.
Ok, but remember its generally...are you possibly drunk?
So gangs make ALL their money off of weed? Or are you advocating other drugs be legalized too. Furthermore, have you ever heard of human trafficking? Gun trafficking? Coyotes? Look these things up. Then try to tell me those sources of income are "insignificant". And I'm not even mentioning corruption.
"So all thats left" implies you think you just tore apart my conversation. God you must be REALLY drunk...You also seem to think I'm the only person in the world with views like this. I ran it by my friends. Half of them supported me, a quarter objected on moral grounds, and the other quarter are addicts.

I am going in and out of being on the forums and doing homework so I can't make a big reply, but I am gonna leave it at this: This paragraph is just too easy to rip apart and destroy. If nobody else does, I will, probably tomorrow, or once I can finish my homework.

True, but how much taxes? By the way I thought liberals (although I don't know if you are one) are concerened about the wealth gap. Well, if corporations sold marijuana, according to liberals, it would make the wealth gap larger.

The taxes that are put on alcohol and cigarettes. The wealth gap as no place in this argument at all this does not affect in any way shape or form and liberals are not all about the wealth gap either. Besides the corporations are exclusively owned by the government therefore the money is controlled by the government.

Well in terms of following law yes the corporations are owned by the government, but the government does not regulate prices, what land they own, etc.

Sorry, but you can't get addicted to weed.

So tell me, where does your hatred of da wacky tobacky come from? I wanna know. Did your parents force it on you? If so, you realize your parents have most likely smoked pot at one point in their life.

Mosh, have you read anything I posted yet? In countries where marijuana (and in the case of Portugal, every single drug) has been legalised, there aren't mass riots, violent gang wars and rampant criminality because of drugs. Where are these problems? In countries that have banned drugs of all kind.

As said before, regulated drug production and sale can not only help the economy through taxes, it's very interesting for tourism as well (although that will be gone as soon as all countries will legalise the stuff).
