Um, what? You dislike and oppose something because it has stereotypes? That sounds like me saying I dislike Mexicans and they shouldn't be here because of stereotypes.

Well, as for the church, the priests that get caught should (at least in my opinion) be locked up and be excommunicated. There are probably several churchgoers who also abuse children. But really, I don't care what you believe, where you come from or who you are; if you rape a child, you're a disgusting person and aren't worthy to call yourself a human being.

@Battleearl, That is still no reason to dislike homosexuality. Straight people have raped kids before too. Rape is not a gender or orientation specific issue.

They are called priests and they are not all child rapists, I hate people who call them that. Show some respect to them.
As I have stated before, I have no problems with gays getting civil unions. The only difference between a civil union and marriage is that marriage is a religious ceremony reserved for only men and women. They do the same thing basically.

He was not talking about all priests. Have you not constantly heard on the news though all these cases against priests and rape in the past year or so though?

I know of what has been happening. They should investigate the child rapings. I just hate how some people just call priests child rapists just because of the events that have been happening.

It's true that not all priests do that and it is indeed wrong to label them all as such. A few bad apples spoil the bunch you could say.

I didn't call all of them rapists, don't get me wrong. I do remember reading somewhere a Dutch priest wrote a letter to his colleagues, warning them of the consequences of this. But don't expect me to respect people who rape children, or know about it and refuse to tell the police. Both are absolutely disgusting, and deserve no respect whatsoever.

Respect the priests who haven't done either.
