Try to be realistic, taking into account politics, finance and logistics.

If Lee had won at Gettysburg, it's my strong belief that he would've continued to terrorize the countryside enough, that the Union would just.... give up. I'm convinced they'd win the war, if win at Gettysburg.

Also, you forgot to put up outside support. If someone like Britain or France had pledged support to the Confederacy, the Confederacy would've curbstomped the United States.

I've only read the first book.

My favorite part was where Theodore Roosevelt raised his own Cavalry Regiment when he wasn't able to volunteer himself for the Army, I've felt sorry for Fredrick Douglas though he was never able to see his dream of seeing the Confederacy be defeated and being used as a bargaining chip by the Confederates when he was captured.

The only chance the confederate had was getting the European powers on there side, once they failed to do that. the superior numbers, materials, and other factors of the union would have crushed the confederacy.

I can only see the South winning if Britain joined or if Lincoln did not get re-elected.

    Put parenthesis, spoiler, close parenthesis.
For the ending, put: parenthesis, forward-slash, spoiler, close parenthesis.

The South didn't have a very good chance of getting as far as it got. Unless Lincoln was voted out of office (the opposition candidate would probably have ended the war) or England intervened (which wasn't unlikely. Not only because of that Incident, but the Confederacy was a major supplier of cotton. Cotton was a huge necessity in the Industrial Revolution. Instead though, India took the place of the Southern States as the World's Cotton Fields and basically made the Southern States suck.

Well the British also wanted to join just to fuck the Union over. Then Lincoln made the smart move and signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which basically said to the British that "this war is now about slavery so ha you would have trouble supporting the South because you guyz don't have slavery anymore."

I don't think the British Empire really cared about morals. It might've made it a bit distasteful, but if they really wanted too they'd just ignore that fact and help the South anyway.

Personally, I think they were afraid of getting overextended. They couldn't justify destroying the Union, and they would end up being a constant threat in North America (as they would have to defend Canada). And they were busy dealing with India, South Africa, Australia, etc. At a point, it was probably just too much.

Not really Karakoran. There military was about a billion times better then the North and the South's combined, and that's a fact.

They would absolutely curbstomp the enemies of whoever they took the side of in the war.

But anyways, the South had less causualties then the North in every major battle except for appotomax courthouse.
