Also Europeans have had one really important advantage (although kinda disadvantage) in history: being so divided, which lead to competition (arms racing for example) and competition led to technology, colonizing etc. But china in asia had no one to compete against thus leaving china behind.

Chinese history is just boring PERIOD. How can you like the constant overthrowing of emperors/dynasties?

Chinese history is the more repetitive history of the world.

Just because you're not interested, means that we can't talk about it? Then leave. Also, at first you told us that we couldn't talk about the Spanish, and now you suddenly state that we can't speak about ACIENT China. Grow up.

Didn't the Persians have a professional army?

Im reading the Fall of Rome right now and I am completely shocked at how advanced the Visigoths were. In a lot of fields they were more advanced then the Romans even before they entered the Roman territory. This completely shocked me.

The only proffesional troops the persians had in acient times was the bodyguards and i believe some cavalry. being that there use of cavalry contributed to the creation of there empire. Otherwise it was just a bunch of levies with light armour and only the slightest hint of formations. (if you call a loose square/rectangle a legitimet formation)
Back then it was normal to have some form of weapon and knowledge of basic combat for survival.

Also who was the best leader of any ainchent civilization?
I'd say Gaius Marius of Rome or Pericles of Greece.

The Greeks never had a professional army, you guys apparently don't know the concept of it.

A professional army is actually a standing army, that means, no levies, just plain soldiers that live off of wars and they get paid for it.

They did manage to keep Alexander out of their lands, I don't know too much about them though.
