What if we just brought back giant plant eating dinosaurs and put them in the Congo! I mean they already think they have some brontosauruses in their jungles.

Just bring back the herbivores not the carnivores...

No! I want my damn raptor! Or at least a Troodon, they were apparently quite intelligent. I could make it hunt unwanted animals in my future garden (read: cats that piss all over the place) and make him chase door-to-door salesmen! Oh it'll be grand!

Maybe you should bring back a dinosaur that's big enough to ride on... Why use cars when you could use dinosaurs!?

Well, from the dinosaurs that I know (knew a lot more back in the day...), you either end up with something slow or something that eats pedestrians.

Okay... That's another thing that's not gonna work...
But how are we gonna try to keep them under control?

I think if you are against bringing back dinosaurs, you are among the most boring people on Earth.

Throwing a torpedo riddled Argentinasaurous into a tank with a genetically engineered, carnivorous Blue Whale would be beautiful. Parents would smother their kids to spare them from a future life of boredom and disappointment after witnessing such an event.

Well, for the raptors, binding their jaws together and clipping their nails would work, maybe they'll listen to commands if you train them as soon as they hatch. As I said, they were apparently very intelligent, so training a bunch of Utahraptors would really end this Occupy thing within two days.

dinosaurs are extict, so let's leave it that way and besides, they would crush our eco system completly and would eradicate alot of animals.

I can't see the bright side of bringing them back

It would be a nice thing to bring them back and train them like any other domesticated animal, within a few generations you could have a well trained dino that does anything a dog can do. It would not be a good idea to let them into the wild though, as yes, it would wreak havoc on the ecosystems. The only problem that might arise is finding food for them that would be digestible, organisms have changed a lot in the past 65 million years.

Your going with the assumption that we could domesticate theme, i find it highly unlikely unless we only do it to the small herbivore dinosaur, even still i would assume the backlash of people like Peta or scientist demanding to know more about the dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs had similar brain functions to the bird and like such could be trained like one, just like with any other vertebrate research there should be strict guidelines to dealing with the research of the animals.

Sure, you could train them, if they wouldn't eat you first.

Now yes they had similar brain functions, but that doesn't mean you can train them. you have to take in to account there size and variables, so more then likely training a t-rex to do your will, well end up causeing you to get eaten.

What ever happened to natural selection the Animals that are alive today are alive today because they can adapt, The dinosaurs couldn't so they should be extinct Why can't we leave it at that?

Well first off, dinosaurs had tumors similar to that when humans get them. If we could bring back a test subject and induce cancer in them then with that could find out more details about how/why/where/when cancer forms and ways to cure it.
