Suggestion: JosefVStalin.com awards 2012

On a forum I used to post on, they used to have something called the "forum awards" for that forum. There would be a selection of categories that people would initially be nominated for, and then once the nominees were in there would be a voting period.

This is a preliminary post to see if this is something people would be in favour of, if it were to pass the date would of course be "February 14 2012" marking the 1 year anniversary of the forums. Note: that this hasn't been discussed in the mods forum or with Stalin this is just the suggestion post. If you think it's a good idea a selection of ideas for awards wouldn't go amiss.

A few examples:

Most likeable member award
awarded to the member who is just too darn nice.

Most helpful Member Award
awarded to the member who provides the most help to other members.

The CheFlegal Award
awarded to the user who expresses the most crazy/extreme views.

Comedian.
awarded to the User whom the users think is the funniest

Tribune of the Year
awarded to the tribune whom the users think was most successful during their time in office.

Mod of the Year
awarded to the moderator whom the users think is the best.

the awards themselves would be images which only the users who won them would be allowed to put on their signature. There would obviously be a date on them so they would be yours to keep forever.

Suggestions please: the more original the better and obviously say if you like or dislike this idea.

I love this idea. We need a Golden Stalin award as it just sounds cool.

I think the Award should be a Golden peice of shit, Therefore it wont make people feel bad if they lose, because they would of won a piece of shit, while the winners gets something that is golden!!

@Kara, this isn't about ahead planning, but about getting the suggestion on the table. This is my suggestion as a forum goer and not as a staff member.

the idea is for a sig image yes, but they need to be significantly smaller.

we need an award with Napoleon's name as well, so he and Che will never be forgotten.

Napoleon deserves none of our acknowledgement, time or anything as good as an award to be named after him. He doesn't deserve to be remembered by the community.

Che on the other hand took his ban properly.
