I think Coolidge, Buchanan, Grant, Harding, and Clinton.

I will wait for W. Bush until later so we can have a broader idea of the lasting effects of his policies.

I don't even know many presidents. I know Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, and John F. Kennedy that's it. But of the ones I know Nixon or Bush.

Sort of? No. Obama IS a bad president. Almost as bad as Carter was. I was really hoping for more from Obama but he's really been a lame duck. I applaud his efforts to reach across the aisle but the Republicans weren't ever going to play ball with him.

Thanks for stopping that thread conversion to whether you like or hate Obama. Hoover actually did some things during his presidency to combat the Depression that were later expanded by Roosevelt. His problem was that he tried to treat the Depression like every other recession in American history. His programs were good just not enough.

Most of what Taft is noted for is busting more trusts in 4 years then Teddy Roosevelt did in 8. His problem was that his party was split and neither side like that he was trying to find balance.
