The tagline is a clever play on the meaning of lemon as a dud and plum as something to be desired. "We puck the lemons you get the plums". This ad is an iconic peace of work.
Last year one of the free newspapers here screwed up. Two or three years ago some dude on Queens Day tried to ram the bus the royal family was in. He drove through the crowds, killing and badly wounding several people. In that newspaper there was some article about that incident but on the backside of that page there was a full page add for the car that guy used to kill the people. It said something like "Now even faster." When I saw that I was like: Hmmm, bad idea guys. Next day it was in all the newspapers
The first Swedish military commercial to ever be shown, right after mandatory service was removed. Cool American voice! Of course the ad itself is pointing out what is ironic. Still.
idk man, I found it pretty catchy. Though if I had to watch it like 20 times I would probably become homicidal.
The swedish part means: "But we can offer you our reality, a job where you can make a difference, for real."
Yeah. Most ads make me want to buy their products less. If I see the same Best Buy commercial 10 times in a day, I'm not going to buy anything from that store. I only go to the store (in my town, we have a Wal-Mart, so that is where I shop) when I actually need something. Not when I hear, "We have this useless ass product that isn't even worth looking at, buy it!" on YouTube when I'm trying to watch a funny video.
