What faction should Stalin pick for his future let's play in Total War: Shogun 2. I say Stalin should pick the Date clan so he can mop up Japan with the legendary Date Masamune but it doesn't matter
I always played as either the Hojo or Usegi clans because I liked their colors. Course I was like 8 when I was playing Shogun, so I don't know if they're really the best option.
I would pick the Oda or the Tokugawa because they were quite legendary but the Takada is a STRONG clan srry for any spelling mistake

Time to lay some history down about the oda clan of the sengoku jidai period (clears throat) The Oda Clan: the oda clan was said to have originated from Oni demons although the early stages of the oda clan were bleak. Until the great Oda Nobunaga came along his swift cunning and pure genius won him a great victory over the imagawa clan and practicly secured central japan on not just strength alone but political might he destroyed the might of the takeda cavalry and used a tactic similar to the dutch by using his guns in a fire by rank style he was also known as a serious atheist against all forms of religion he was seen as a madman and all the other clans disliked him he also put numerous social reforms into play like a health care system except you had to serve a 6 year term of military service also used a form of currency. If he wasn't backstabbed by a trusted officer Japan would be a very different place....Maybe. the man to unify japan would be a officer known as hideyoshi hashiba (I dont think that was a original name because i read a book saying e was a begger and nobunaga saw potential in him). He also made alot of social reforms like those of the oda. I pick Oda P.S. It's a good thing another josefvstalin fan knows about the sengoku period. Hideyoshi Toyotomi may have unified Japan but remember who became shogun in the end... Tokugawa Ieyasu! I wish Date Masamune became shogun though he was a beast.
I would jump for joy if he picked Uesugi or Takeda as Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen were very interesting Daimyo(clan leaders) and I like those clans, or the Oda or Shimazu clan. Oda Nobunaga is my hero. xD As far as the original Shogun these were always the funnest clans imo. Out of the 3 unifying clans of Japan (Oda, Toyotomi and Tokugawa) Oda is by far my favorite.
