Hey guys. In the past I have heard Stalin talk about how much he liked Warcraft 3, and few others who seemed to generally like the game. After hopping back on to see what it's been like after a year or so I was pretty disappointed. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing the game again? A friend and I were hoping to get together a bunch of people so we could start playing a lot of the fun games in private with people who don't suck. If you are interested in joining please friend me on steam and join the group. http://steamcommunity.com/id/apoco786 http://steamcommunity.com/groups/theinfinitefoundation
Its a bit of an old game, and it was awesome back then and everyone could play it. But I think SC2 sounds alot better at the moment.
I've put about 1000 hours recorded into that game. Realisticly, I've probably played 9-10k hours in. I stopped playing when my clan dissolved and all my friends left for SC2. I still play 'bout 9hours/week with RL friend. Do note that I only play in the weekend. And I would love to play a game or 12 with you & CO It is hard to notice the age also: BUILD MOAR FARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know, something about Starcraft 2 just isn't fun to me. Sounds good. Do you have steam, and if you do could I get your name? That's probably where we will be doing everything for now. Dick move.
Never really liked the skirmishes, any nerd that spent too much time playing could pretty much out-micro you and the maps were also too small. Also, every game undead used the same friggin' tactic, Death Knight + Crypt fiend and there was just no true good early counter to it. That's where SC 2 has the advantage of fast action IMO, no unrealistic micro bullshit... Sure Micro is still important but not all-encompassing. I loved the map Coming Of The Horde though, if we could get that map running again I'd abandon everything else just to play it again... I also like Footman Frenzies, Battle For Middle Earth and the old Heroes And Armies. Anyone wanna play any of those, I'm all up for it...
Oh yeah, we were actually discussing playing Coming of the Horde and games like Battle for Middle Earth. If you give me your steam name I'll add you to the group where everything is being set up. Also, do you have Ventrilo? Edit: Actually, it probably isn't very effective to just ask for your steam name. I'll post a link to the group and my steam name and you can add me if you so wish.
Believe it or not, I'm not even on Steam right now. Weird huh? I only recently took up gaming again because my PC had been demented for quite some time and I'd been spending money on other hobbies. Turns out after 4 years and after some cleaning up he's still able to run SC 2 fluently (given, not at highest graphics) though so I got the ol' vibe back. I used to have a Steam account nicknamed 'Terendar', let's see if it hasn't been deactivated yet. If you're going to be using a bot to host CoTh / other maps just tell me how to find it and I'll prolly drop by some time... When the months over, most likely (bloody exams). I don't think the old HoA bot for CotH is still running. My Warcraft account is the same as my SC, it's 'TherapyQM'.
Alright, sounds good. The bot is called INFD-Bot and it sits in the channel INFD. Our main server is US West, but the bot is on all the servers. My account name is Apocolypse, and my friend is CAM_mE_iS_Newb.
So you have your own bot, brilliant. K, so the command for finding a game it's hosting would be /whois INFD-CotH ? I become forgetful as to how these things work over time.
No, it'd just be /whois INFD-Bot. We mostly just use it for personal use. Like whenever we are together we host whatever game we feel like playing, it doesn't host the games constantly.
Kk, I'm just going to assume you'll likely be on most around the same time you replied to my posts here (considering we probably have a time gap to fill) =)
