But a single-party state also usually leads to oppression and who cares how good the economy is when the people are repressed.

How the hell would that fix the economy? No organization, no anything.

Not under Anarchy. Anarchy solves nor benefits anything or one, only under a controlled environment would anarchy work and humanity cannot be controlled.

I did, and I believe that it is self conflicting. As I said, Anarchy will never work. And dividing the workers into small groups will only increase the tension, sooner or later. Natural urges and the need for resources will eventually overcome solidarity and working-class unity. I am a believer in Socialism myself, but I believe that a firm centralized is needed to keep the people from simply abusing the system and one another. Leaving people to themselves is a very bad idea in my opinion... not disrespecting your opinion and belief but Anarcho-Syndicalism looks too idealistic to me.

You can have a centralized structure under communism/anarchy.

A state is a government's gun. You can have a semi-governmental institution without a state.

Any form of regulation in any way shape or form goes against exactly what Anarchy is.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that an Anarchist society would be made entirely of well, Anarchists.

No more talk about anarchy or communism, or any of that jazz. We've talked about it quite a few times before and this isn't a thread about capitalism or communism, but rather how to alleviate the debt....

It is noted that one option is the go communist, and if anyone is intrigued by this idea check out any other thread on this forum. Subsequent posts debating the intricacies of communist ideology will be deleted.

*Austerity measures, with a slice of humility in that America isn't going to be the only superpower in the next 20 or 30 years. The US lacks the competitiveness because of decades of outsourcing and flagging R&D investment, the US industrial sector has lost its edge. Many high-tech products can no longer be made in America because the necessary knowledge, skills, and suppliers are gone. The US lacks the means to invent, develop, and manufacture the next generation of high-tech products that are key to rebuilding its economy and paying down its huge deficits.

    * And when i say Austeritys measure i mean cutting down on military spending. Yes we know that the world will collaspe if America is not there, but still if America wants to actually have an economy instead of government propping up of institutions/corporations then it will have to cut its military spending.

The fact is, cutting military spending alone will not close the budget.

yeah theres a lot more that needs to be done but that would be a step in the right direction showing that the politicians actually would be willing to face reality
