    PARENTS BE BLOCKIN' MY INTERNETS

    How do I stop this?
They're using a Netgear Router to do it by the way. I'm currently trying to reverse engineer my way to free Internets, but it's hard work man. What do I do?

Update: I made it to the authentication page, what is a good way to find the username/password?

Oh, and for any of those who were going to say, "use such and such a proxy website", they blocked those too. D:

Mainly because it's porn and preventing me from getting on at like 11 PM when I'm awake (I used to stay up REALLY late on YouTube and stuff). So that option is ruled out.

We wont talk about that part though.

Sorry pal, they don't really block anything, and when I was your age the whole internet was pretty new and my parents were clueless.

edit: the only thing i can think of would be to try running through a proxy, but i duno

I remember when I had this problem too. Until I moved out of my house the home computer we used had more security on it than the Pentagon. I didn't feel like going to a trailer park and paying that girl who never showered $5 to pull pull her skirt, mostly because she never showered and I could see pigeons falling all around her. I played it old school and bought some Playboys (I choose those because it was the only one I had really heard about), This was about when I was 16. I looked on the older side and could easily have passed for 18. I don't have a real solution for you but I know what your going through.

Well, regardless of your unhelpfulness, I'm starting to make progress. I believe to have the username and I'm trying to piece together the password. I have a few leads on it. Sadly one of them is missing a digit, which fucks up everything.

Well I'd say secretly make a linux dual boot but if the routers the problem that would hardily help now would it. My only problems were getting ON the computer and bypassing passwords on the computer. No experience with hacking routers, sorry. :p could always try to work around the router. Do your parents use the internet often? Do you have one computer or multiple? Would you be able to have your computer close enough to plug in to a extra long network cable or extra cable that your parents do not know about? Or yeah just buy another router of the same make if you don't figure your parents will actually check up on it and replace them. Then however you'd need to get a network name and password that were at least something that they would believe they had forgotten . An older password of theirs maybe.

Update: I found a FOURTH lead but I think my parents are getting suspicious of me snooping around. Better lay low for a while.

    Ya but EXPENSIVE...

Currently the problem is getting the password and username of the Netgear Router Account. I know all the computer logins and ya.
    How so?
    Yes.
Three, because one is old and one is a work computer. It's based off the work computer.
No, but I could only put out the cable at night when it was most important.
Expensive, they would check up on it, and how exactly do I ninja in a router?

Well I have seen software that cracks wireless router passwords but you'd computer running linux. It only runs on linux. When you have that let me know :p

Also it's worth noting that if the router is one of the newer encryption types it's likely gonna take 2 weeks flat for the program to break it.

Well I don't have much choice, now do I? How do I get a double booted linux?

I'm the oldest brother, sadly. And my little brother is a pig and 11. I don't think he knows what sex is, let alone is smart enough to crack a router.

You don't need porn, just use your imagination. Also I'm sure your dad or mom has written the password down on a piece of paper so they don't forget. Stop being a pussy and find it.

What are you? Fucking Sponge Bob?
It's hard man. Turns out, they actually go into their rooms and personal spaces.

So far I have found the way to make it to the account page, several dry leads, the name of the router and I'm lost for the password. I might have the user name, I'm not sure if it works because I can't check it.

I need the damn password though.
