No problem. Sky will be checking the battle results either way, so if I am in error with the battle results, he will let me know and I will redo it. Since this is an important NPC instead of a normal one, I will be writing out the battles anyway.
Yea I said i only want to colonize behind the line of Volland and you seem to be moving me in both direction I only want to go behind otherwise it;s harder to defend.
Tyre will begin constructing walls around it's half of Crete and all of Cyprus. The docks themselves will be heavily walled and defended, to protect ships inside and form a strong defensive position against foreign aggressors.
@GrecoRomanian Here are some of the basic mechanics of the game: Terrictory: You will recieve 5 tiles of terrictory per RL day. You may also claim terrictory by fighting against other player or NPCs and taking their terrictory if you win. You may recieve tiles from players. You may trade tiles with other players. If your military population is 50% or higher, you will not recieve the 5 tiles for that day. Population: Your population is calculated by adding up all the tiles of your terrictory and multiplying it by 10,000. You may have no more than 50% of your population as part of your military at any one time. However, you may have more than 50% provided that someone else is willing to offset the balence. For example, if Empire A has 55% of its population military and Empire B has only 45% of its population military, Empire A may enter into an agreement with Empire B to offset the supply shortage caused by the higher military population. Military: In addition to the military population rules above, there are certain things about your military that you should be aware of. First, military training takes time. There are no specific times set for how long a unit takes to train, but you should allow for a decent amount of time to pass. Each RL day is 1 year ingame. You must make sure that your military is trained adequately by placing them and leaving them in training for an amount of time. The quality of your training of a unit is a measure of how long they have been in training and will effect their efficiency in battle. Furthermore, you should be aware that there are technology constraint in this game. We started in the year 450 BC. Technological advancements may not exceed 200 BC. Anything 200 BC or before is allowed. You should also be aware that you may create ships. Ships can be used for transport, trade, and/or warfare. Ships tend to take at least a year (one RL day) to build, depending on their size. Ships also require crew, which is added to your military population. How much crew a ship needs varys based on the ship and what the majority of players think is the average size. Failing to meet or exceeding the average crew size will effect the efficiency of your ship and its preformance. Battle: I am the God of Blood, War, and Frustration. There are currently two options avalible for battling enemies: Option A: The parties involved in the battle will post their force strength/composition/location and I will write up an outcome to the battle. If they choose to, parties may also include tactics that they wish to use on the battlefield in PMs to me and I will incorperate it into the battle. Option B: Involved parties will be invited to a PM where they will post their force strengths/compositions/locations and then the battle will commence. This form included players commanding their own troops by taking turns posting manuvers. I will be in charge of posting casualties based on the manuvers made. Be aware that Option B is in Beta phase currently and has not successfully been done yet. Note: For battles of players v. minor NPCs, I will simply calculate the outcome without any kind of story to explain what happened. These are some of the basics. Again, don't be afraid. It'll all come together later on. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
@Imperial1917 The Dalmatian troop numbers and composition are as follows.. 465,000 men 225,000 men from Dalmatia proper- 100,000 heavy swordsmen- 70,000 light hoplites (Spartan trained)- 35,000 archers- 20,000 cavalry 180,000 men from Libya- 100,000 African levies- 30,000 desert horse archers- 30,000 desert horsemen- 20,000 archers 60,000 men from @Volland- 20,000 axe warband- 20,000 spearmen- 20,000 archers Dalevantyre has many fertile fields around the mouth of the Nile, which was, need I remind you, the source of food for Rome for much of its history, and so is perfectly sufficient to feed such a massive army. Currently these men are staying in and around the grand city of Dalevantyre, building fortifications and continuing their training.
@UtterlyImpeccable Do you have the supplies necessary to support all of that? Construction of a grand armada of 200 triremes is started by the Egyptian Horde. The masses of laboring souls will complete the project long before the year is out. 200 more are ordered for next year. Construction of defensive buildings including coastal defenses, massive farms, and walls with ballista and polybolos begin. The 300,o00 troops in the Eastern part of the Egyptian Empire move east into Egypt. They compose of: 75,000 heavy infantry armed with spears, javelins, and shields. 75,000 light infantry armed with swords, javelins, and shields. 75,000 ranged infantry armed with bows, daggars, and shields. 37,500 heavy cavalry with spears and shields 37,500 light cavalry armed with bows and swords. 100,000 poorly trained levees join them making the force 400,000 strong. The force striking Carthage composes of: Troop composistion: 200,000 Swordsmen 149,800 Chariot archers 100,000 archers with bows and shields 149,975 Spearmen Spearmen and swordsmen also carry 3 javelins each and shields. All Egyptian Horde troop equipment is made mostly of bronze and crude iron. 400,000 troops are placed in training.
Yes. I have plenty of ships to bring supplies over from Dalmatia, and Dalevantye has plenty of supplies too, and none of the populace there are in any army, so they can continue supplying my troops with food etc. @Imperial1917 Aren't Kara's troops in Egypt?
I would like to place 10000 soldiers into training and build 5000 ships. (Im sure I don't have the resources but I'm just trying anyway)
