While I have never been scared of revealing information about myself I haven't participated in discussions as much as I would like, while I am obviously away from the forum in terms of I am too busy to start fucking about with it, I am available to answer any questions should you be interested in asking any to hopefully give me a bit more integration.

So your thoughts on the great and powerful Friedrich Nietzsche, who is obviously the greatest philosopher of all time?

I will answer on all counts.

    1) My job on the forums is obviously to maintain it & update it which I'm sure you're aware I have not been doing very much of lately.

    2) I am on my universities student union (web development officer) so I suppose that can be considered partly my job

    3) I don't currently have a job, I am studying Philosophy at University, with an aim to do a teaching qualification & then go into teaching.

    4) I briefly worked as a telemarketer for a home improvements company, it was a lot of fun actually. Just doesn't pay very well.

My opinion is that he was a syphilitic madman. Nietzsche is a waste of time.

This viewpoint I agree with, Nietzsche is barely a philosopher, certainly the majority of his writings that I have studied I have found rather naive, but then again because of this I haven't paid much attention to his work & as such perhaps there is some hidden gems in there.

If you were interested in my favourite Philosopher it is probably David Hume but as for 'Best Philosopher' I could not say.

David Hume is an interesting philosopher, why do you like him and his work?

His work is incredibly well written & on most accounts I agree with him. Obviously there are many points where I do not, he is a compatibalist & I'm a hard determinist for example. I just love enlightenment Philosophy even if I technically reject the enlightenment as a whole & David Hume is the cream of the crop in that period of History in my opinion.

    Yes

What do you mean? If you mean Status' just go onto their profiles. It's there...

If you were a dinosaur, and a meteor was coming at you, and you had two options, what would you choose? You could either run into a black hole in the ground that may or may not take you to an alternate universe that may be a great or terrible place, or run into a cave with a pack of cockroaches claiming they know how to survive this shit?

I confess to not being well versed in Existential Philosophy since its major proponents are Philosophers I do not care about. That being said I would probably say that I accept many of the conclusions of Existentialism despite the fact from what little I've read I do not necessarily accept their reasoning.

If I were a Dinosaur as in a Dinosaur with my 'mind' I would simply let the meteor hit me because I would have no interest in my continued existence. If I was a dinosaur but not with my own mind then well, that simply wouldn't be me & therefore I cannot answer your question. Bug fixing aside, is there anything you want to change about the forums? Do you have a grand plan to make the forums a utopia?
