Disclaimer:I apolgize, I dont think Forget is a good work to think of now, I meant to move on.

So I was watching a Yogscast video when they were flying planes in a game and they mention 9/11 for half a secound and the comments are full of arguments and such about it and has 2k dislikes. I know that doesnt sound like much but normally they only reach about 200.

I think its time to stop getting mad even if you lost 10 family members. Here are my reasons.

    1. Well it was not THAT big of a trategy, the media has overblown it. 2000 civilian deaths that is very sad but how many people a week died in Vietnam, WWII, Pearl Harbor, Civil War, or just everyday life? I hate to compair but by comparision its pretty small.

    2. All the people delived to be responsible for the attack have been killed! Osama got shot in the head, Al Queda is pretty much destroyed, The US troops are out of the middle east. And also the 9-11 terrorist attacks happen 10 years ago! Its time to move on.

Anyhow here is the video, see how offensive it is. I counted 2 remarks.

Don't double post but yes it is time to move on, it has been time to move on for a while. Dwelling on this for this long is exactly what the terrorists wanted. All the grief they caused from this attack, the fact that it lasted years because we decided to dwell on it so much, they're probably sitting back laughing at that because they accomplished their mission/goal for sure.

I never really cared. Probably because I'm an apathetic bastard.

You people still make a big deal about it?

We, over the seas, very much enjoy making 9/11 jokes. We even make them on national television occasionally. I think up jokes about it every week. To be fair, none of us cared about it in the first place. Moreover, we were more annoyed by the amount of time on television it took up. That is just our mentality. We aren't going to forget it, instead, we are going to look back on it and laugh at the amount of hilarious 9/11 jokes we sent in text messages. I doubt it's the same case with the yankees, but you get the point.

Also, have you people been mourning for 10 years? That's unhealthy. Snap out of it.

I feel it's time to move on, but 9/11 can't be forgotten.

The OP is just awful, in so many ways.

However, instead of wasting my time pointing out the absurdity of his comments, I'll call to your attention the material reality of the situation. The 21st century, so far, has been completely shaped by this incident. The current geopolitical climate is entirely a result of the September 11 attacks. The domestic political climate in the US, UK, and many other nations has also been heavily impacted by the attacks.

Had 9/11 not occurred, the US would not have gone to war with Iraq and Afghanistan. Islamic fundamentalism, and even terrorism, would probably not be at the forefront of the international community's interests. The global economy and even technology would be drastically altered in the absence of this event. Your personal life, values, and beliefs would likely be quite different from what they are now. Basically, had this incident not occurred, the world would be almost unrecognizably different.

So to claim it's time to "move on" or "forget it" is paramount to ignoring what is probably the most pivotal event of the 21st century thus far.

    1. 21st century is only 12 years old so thats not saying much. Especially when almost all major things in that 12 years have been revolving around the world on terror.

    2. I realised that forget about it was a horrible choice of words, I think it should be remembered like pearl harbor but proably not as long.

    3. It was not a war on " Islamic fundamentalism " it was a war against a terror group. If we went to war with South Africa it would not be a war against Black fundamentalism.

I disagreed with stalin when he said you consider yourself a god in the MW3 LP and was one of the few people who thinked you should stay as a moderator.

I am pretty sure I was wroung.

No it is not. We must never forget the atrocities of that day, when the US was blindly attacked by a militant terrorist faction. The families of the victims will never be able to move on from their losses, and so long as they grieve I will grieve with them. It is also a day to remember the bravery and courage of the American people. Remember that Firefighter who charged in to save those people, that police officer who carried people out, and of course the passengers who fought of the hijackers even thought they would later die themselves. It is a day that symbolizes not only that despite the prosperity of the US we are vulnerable, but that Americans are always ready to band together to help each other. Do what you want, but I will never forget.

Most americans have moved on, at least the ones I know. The only people still mourning over it are those who lost loved ones in the attack. I think everyone is blowing this a little out proportion when it comes to americans being stuck on the attack. We should never forget the attack, especially like kalalification said, because it has shaped the world we live in today, but we should stop mouring the losses, and I think most of us have.

If remembering and mourning the lost souls a huge terrorist attack on American civilians means I'll be "left behind", then so be it.

I hate the word "souls". Makes them seem more important than they actually are. You people weren't "brave" or "courageous", you sat behind your television watching it. You didn't actually do anything courageous or brave. You guys never band together to help each other. In fact, you people only rallied round the 9/11 cause for about a week, then you stepped back and realized that it was still George Bush.

The American people did not sit idly by. They rallied together. Flew flags, held rallies, made chants. The brave and contagious Americans I am talking about are firefighters, pedestrians, and law officials who raced into the towers to save people. How is that not brave of courageous.

How on Earth does his post make it seem like he is portraying himself like a God in any way, shape or form?

Making a 9/11 joke in the American Media would be like making a Holocaust joke in front of a Jewish audience.
The one making the joke is more retarded than the people upset about it. People should simply know not to make them.

We should just move on or if you are a true socialist (like me) then you would pay your respects to Salvador Allende who sadly died on September 11, 1973. I usually forget about the attack on the twin towers and the pentagon though.

I call bullshit. You'd have to be deliberately dense, and cut off communication with any electronic media, as well as blind yourself to the date, in order to forget about it. But since you apparently celebrate the 11th for another reason, you simply have to be lying about this.

So, the US killed 120 million native Americans. "It's all in the past, get over it".

2000 Americans are killed in lone terrorist attack - "NEVER FORGET! WORST CRIME IN HUMAN HISTORY!"

9/11 was tragic, but you need to get over it. More children die every hour in Africa.
