What about the Commonwealth ones? That artillery strike is ridiculously overpowered.

It comes down to if you know what you're doing and being VERY patient to have that "oh shit" MP at all times

True, I must admit I tend to overextend, take all but one of the flag points and get overrun by a wave of tanks. I've learned, though, and am now slowly working through the missions.

I have always one full squad guarding the point and I have three tanks (left, center, right). This is only to defend. This is good strategy to use, if your attack fails.

Yeah I do just like deadtrap, I usually have 3 tanks and if I have the opportunity...steal the enemy's so you can spend more points on elite units. But the secret is to take down the enemy's howitzers/rockets in the last base before you advance to the third line of defence.

I generally have three full squads and a handful of tanks (2-4, dividing them over the main two paths). I fill up those squads with AT infantry (as I leave two riflemen at the MGs) or other depleted squads.
I also always have a few snipers running around, direct control with them is so much fun, the same goes for tanks, I virtually always do tank battles manually.

I don't like spending points on AT infantry and Snipers, they do well in the first line but after that they won't cut it. You should also save points until you 3 of the heaviest tanks you can afford before moving up, and as the Brittish I like using a mixture of the Cromwell/Churchill, because one has armor to push and the other the gun to take down tanks.

I don't buy AT infantry nor snipers. SMG people have AT grenades and if you're playing as USSR everyone has Molotov. Sniper is almost useless I think as enemy infantry is not problem at all. I mean you get heavy MGs with infinite ammo...

I find snipers to be very effective at picking off entrenched infantry. They can also scout for your units so they can see the enemy. I generally get the AT to fill up depleted squads so they can hold their own against tanks.
Another strategy I found useful is to clear out the final flag point before taking the ones before it, so you can easily capture it and avoid the final wave.

Most of my casualties usually come from enemy AA tanks or artillery, so I usually counter them first before anything else, and as the germans you can't lose because of your sexy Box Tank (Tiger). The russians get the lovely 203mm artillery that seems to have infinite ammo, Americans and commonwealth are harder to play, although if you can get Sluggers or Cromwells you should do fine, its all about'em tanks dude. =P

Well, I found that with the Commonwealth, as soon as you get the artillery strike, you can easily just hang back, take out their long-ranged weapons and proceed to curbstomp them.
I do need to watch the artillery more carefully, though, I tend to get overzealous with my tanks and run them straight into artilerry fire, which they don't exactly appreciate.

Tunnel vision for me gets caused by direct control. I don't care though, I find it to be the best damn function of the game, bar none. Is it handy? Not exactly. Is it good for your overall strategy? Not really. Does it benefit the unit you're controlling and your other units? Not necessarily. Is it god damned enjoyable? Fuck yes.

True, true, but then again, I don't play WoT, and from what I can understand, losing a tank in Men of War isn't as detrimental as losing one in WoT.

Well, losing a tank in MoW is simply...disastrous. WoT is a tank-based MMO so losing one tank doesn't fuck with your chances of winning.

I'd say it's hardest to play as Germans, because despite the box tank, they have to face AT, or artillery directly. As USSR or Japan you have plenty of cannon fodder to wear them out. As UK & US you get artillery.

The effect of losing a tank in MoW really depends on your defences, your current manpower and your ability to instantly repair it.

Also, the Japanese get these awesome long ranged mortar rocket thingies, they're pretty badass.

Really? The two times I've used them they've proven to be quite effective at taking out artillery at long range. Might have just been luck, though.
It's also a small bug in the game, the generic commander voice tells you you have access to the Banzai power thingy, but you actually get the mortars.
