A bigot with a penchant for demagougery and fear-mongering can hardly be called one of the world's finest journalists.
I think you're a little off there my friend. He was definitely an "anti-theist" but he was concerned with the problems inherent in the churches and the culture moreso than just having a problem with believers themselves.
