@Kali Earlier in this thread you mentioned how you despised people who thought Buddhism had no god, and you have made claim that Buddhism is polytheistic in nature. But I can never find evidence to this, it may be in part by my lack of knowledge regarding Buddhism, or may be the result of hearing from self described Buddhist atheist friends that Buddhism requires no god or gods. When I try to look up things on Buddhism, it seems to say the exact opposite of what you're trying to say is true, that Buddhism does not require a god and is atheistic in nature. So can you show me were or how you came to the conclusion that Buddhism is not atheistic or at least can be (my choice) if not I will continue along the lines that Buddhism is atheistic.
@Viking Socrates Buddhism does not require the existence of deities (well it kind of does, but that's a whole other can of worms), but it does recognize the existence of just about every deity out there. Buddhists do not generally worship deities, because their power, even if absolute, can't help you escape samsara, but they absolutely do recognize them.
Thank you for answering my question, although you did leave me with another question. But as you said that is whole other can of worms.
Well, the last four pages of this thread or so made for very err, interesting reading. I'm incredibly disappointed that Nick Griffin's appearance in the 'things you despise' thread was not presented as a thing despised. Therefore, I despise Nick Griffin and everything his shitty nationalist party has ever stood for, and I say they are an insult the legacy (pre-1950's) of Oswald Mosley, or in fact anyone who's thought anything even slight positive about Britain.
