    So apparently there have been gigantic protests in Montreal and Quebec over raised student funds and its the largest act of civil disobediance in Canadian history and over 3000 people have gotten arrested so far and there calling it the maple spring now im not sure if this exists already as a thread but just thought that get out there and this might be all wrong since a drunk man is telling me this but yeah

    Where on earth did you hear this? A site about World Records? 'Cos that's what 3000 arrests sounds like to me.
    Oh, the BBC news site says there's been 2500 since February. It surprises me therefore that Stalin hasn't mentioned it, at least as far as I know, but then he probably doesn't live anywhere near Quebec.

    Yeah its really suprising but it is for college tuiton going up to 3,000 dollars so in the grand scope im not sure how important it is

    Actually it's at 3000$ right now and I think it's suppose to go up by 1000$. Int he grand scope it is important as we like our cheap education.

    Yep the Quebec collage students are protesting by the thousands due to a increase in there tuition fees. Even though they have the lowest tuition fees in Canada. Also Quebecs tuition is 3000$ a year compared to neighbouring Ontario's 6000$. So even if it does go up by 1000$ it's still better than most of Canada's.

    I think am average American student pays like 28k on university, at UCLA I have to pay like 20K even though I have grants.

    I tuition gets any higher I won't be going to university. People should not have to pay for university tuition or pay no more than a 1000$.
